I hope this finds you warm and cozy dreaming of summer. In some ways it is hard to imagine fresh greens and luscious red tomatoes with this cold, snowy weather, but spring is just around the corner. I spent those first few cold days of January drooling over seed catalogs with dreams of warm sunshine and green grass. I was impressed that some of my order arrived in two days. But with this cold weather, even the greenhouse is not warm enough to germinate seeds. Planting won't start until February. The longer hours of sunlight will also benefit growing conditions.
Unfortunately with the cold weather we've had much of the winter greens are not looking very well. We will still try to do the spring shares, but may have to delay the start and ending dates. However, the new application is available on the website.
