Spring Greens was supposed to start last week!!  After this long and cold winter, I would have thought that we all were waiting patiently for spring, but it seems like the winter just now left and spring thinking can finally happen.

The bad news is...

The severe winds took a toll on the plastic covering of one of the greenhouses.

And more bad news...

The spring greens are barely above ground.  All things are behind due to the late cold temperatures.  Even the layer of plastic couldn't raise the soil temperature until late March.

The good news...  We will make sure you get the correct weeks of greens, but we may have to add this at the end of the season - like a season extension, instead of all of the weeks before summer.  I hope this will be agreeable and will keep you informed of the expected start date.

The cold spring will also delay other early vegetables like potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and onions.   However with the recent weather conditions, the ground is warming and spring gardening should be back to normal.
